For the first day officially marking the start of its ‘safety first’ campaign launched early last week in Libreville, the Sylvia Bongo Ondimba Foundation (FSBO) was yesterday at the beach opposite the Leon Mba high school.

The programme, which basically targeted young people in general and young women in particular, aimed at providing extensive information about HIV/AIDS, together with professional advice in preventing teenage and unwanted pregnancies.

During the campaign and still in the spirit of combating this deadly disease, the FSBO placed at the public disposal a number of customised condoms baptised ‘You & Me, by FSBO’, and were available for free.

At the programme, the organisers also declared their intent to extend the programme to other parts of the Gabonese capital in order to bring the message carried by the ‘safety first’ campaign to all.
