L’Aube Director to be indicted before the Libreville Law Court
L’Aube Director of the publication and the news group "Oloumambe" is called to appear before the Libreville Law Court for "insults on the president of the Republic", a crime punishable by articles 157 and 158 of the penal Code.
The main accusation of this the journalist is : the choice of words, deemed disrespectful of the status of president of the Republic. Thus, after the suspension of his title for one month, on February 26th, by the national Council of Communication (CNC), the head of the weekly news magazine will have to explain his editorial entitled: "Ali Bongo: a terrorist Muslim", as well as its content, in which the Prosecutor underlined "abusive, disparaging, inadmissible terms for people who claim to be journalists"
Hermeland Loubah, in accordance with the law, is therefore liable to a sentence of 1 to 10 years in prison or a fine of one million CFA Francs.
