Rose Francine ROGOMBE has died
Former President of the Senate, Rose Francine Rogombé, has died last Friday in Paris, France, at the age of 72. Magistrate by profession, Rose Francine Rogombé served 6 years as Chair the Senate, from 2009 to 2015.
Born on September 20, 1942, in Lambaréné, she graduated at the Nancy law faculty. Back in Gabon, she wascalled to the Government as Secretary of State for Women advancement.
Above all, history will remember that Rose Francine Rogombé has served as President of the Gabonese Republic on acting for five months, from June to October 2009, following the death of late president Omar Bongo Ondimba.
The death of Mrs Rogombé comes five months after the one of her husband in late November 2014.
